MRI Continues to Expand
Property Systems Review
March 2003
Since being acquired by Intuit in June 2003, MRI is enjoying growth under new corporate leadership. The provider of property management software solutions has continued to operate as a separate business unit, with the European Operations continuing to be headquarted in London.
Bob Marsh, General Manager of MRI’s Europe, Africa and Middle East regions, says that he is delighted at the progress MRI has made since the Intuit acquisition, and is excited for the future:
“Intuit has helped us focus on our core business objectives. They are working alongside us to help us achieve our goal of enhancing our client base and expanding into new business regions, but, above all, continuing to increase the value of our solutions to our existing users.”
“In order to achieve that goal, we have seen substantial growth in staff numbers in our European operation, and we will be continuing to recruit over the coming months.”
“We will also be relocating to a new, purpose-built head office in the next quarter. This will allow us to cope with our increased employee numbers and will provide a well-serviced European headquarters for us to support our expanding client base. The offices will incorporate advanced training facilities, allowing us to offer product workshops and training courses for our clients.”
In the past few months, MRI has added number of major organisations to their client list, including BP Group Property, Delhaize, the leading Belgian supermarket chain, and IKEA LLC (Moscow), which is based at the recently opened Megamall Centre in Moscow. MRI has also recently expanded into the Eastern European market with the signing of Estatius Holding as a new client. Estatius, the European Asset Management arm of Donaldsons, will be using MRI's products to manage their property portfolio in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Latvia, Hungary and Poland.
Marsh concludes, “In the past nine months, we have seen MRI go from strength to strength. Intuit have helped us develop our strategy to expand our business within Europe. We are already seeing the results, and I am confident that we will continue to grow.”
